Chief Financial Officer (Romania)

Our client is a global provider of power transformers and rotating electrical machines with global operations based in Romania. Continued market growth has created this opportunity with our client who are a subsidiary of a renowned Saudi business conglomerate with global operations. Our client now seek to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for their firm to develop and implement strategies and policies for reviewing, adjusting and implementing short and long term financial plans.

Reporting to the CEO and Sector Chief Financial Officer and managing an accounting division, the proven performer we seek will be responsible for the following:
- Development and successful implementation of internal control procedures, financial policies, internal audit systems, management reporting systems.
- Leadership, development and performance management of a Romanian finance and accounting team.
- Financial modelling and budgeting plus restructuring of business in conjunction with the Sector CFO.
- Debt resourcing and restructuring and familiar with formalities of syndicated loans and covenants.
- Working capital management and cost reduction and restructuring exercises.
- Managing accounting and finance day to day activities, statutory audits and compliance.
- Preparation and presentation of reports at Board level as well as to the Sector CFO.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and budgetary reporting requirements.
- Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
- Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or comparable with 15+ years’ experience in finance and accounting with at least 5 years’ experience at CFO level ideally in the manufacturing or building supply construction sector.
- Stock market knowledge
- Tax knowledge on Romanian finance regulations
- Must be a proven performer in the achievement of deadlines and targets.
- Strong leadership skills, negotiation abilities, analytical skills essential as well as accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills as candidates must be comfortable presenting at Board Level.
- Candidates who are familiar with the European/Romanian region and have strong contacts will be highly regarded.
- Fluent English language skills (written and verbal) are essential.
