Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives:
- Under the general direction, responsible for planning, directing/leading, and coordinating the activities of the Accounting Department as well as maintaining the financial books and records of the company, ledger maintenance, expenses analysis, financial transactions reconciliation and posting, analysis of financial information, preparation of financial reports, and other financial related functions supporting and contributing to the overall business objectives of the company and improved and sustainable business performance.

Main responsibilities:
- Participates in the development of company’s financial objectives and budget by providing financial reports and relevant data from the system, reviewing and analyzing financial and accounting data, reviewing budget information, generating budget financial ratios and provide recommendations to the management in line with organizational priorities, compliance and strategy.
- Prepares Financial Reports and Analysis by generating various financial reports from system to include Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statements; analyzing financial figures and ratios, and highlighting financial issues to the management for appropriate action and decision making.
- Prepares the standard journal entries in spreadsheets and related system by ensuring the completeness and accuracy of source documents according to established accounting standards and procedures, reviewing and validating entries.
- Examines and analyzes revenues, payroll, depreciation, and other expenses by checking corresponding source documents and bookkeeping entries making sure their accuracy and completeness in accordance with the established accounting standards and procedures. 7.
- Examines and analyzes all vouchers including banks, cash, journal vouchers, adjustments and related financial accounting statements by checking entries and corresponding preparations and signatories making sure their accuracy and completeness in accordance with the established accounting standards and procedures.
- Ensures timely posting of all transactions at month end or at established accounting period by making sure that all transactions and documents are prepared, completed, and processed on schedules and without delay.
- Supports the proper implementation of financial audits by coordinating and assisting the external auditors, providing the needed records, reports and analysis and providing access to company financial data and documents in compliance with management approval and established internal control procedures.
- Maintains accounting controls and compliance by reviewing and assessing financial and accounting policies and procedures, executing the approved financial policies, identifying non-compliance, and recommending corrective actions to the management.
- Ensures the proper operation and maintenance of the accounting system in Orion system by reviewing the transaction entries of subordinates and making sure that all input documents in each module (Purchasing, Payroll, Inventory Control, Payables and Receivables) are validated and entered accurately in the system. Ensures proper filing and maintenance of accounting documents and records by keeping serialized filing of related documents according to the approved filing standards and procedures. Internal audit. Requirements

Minimum Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent field,

Minimum Experience:
- Five years managerial experience in Financial/Accounting operation or related activities preferably in industrial manufacturing sector.

Training /Certifications:
- CPA or CFA or CMA or SOCPA

Languages
- Fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English
