Application Architect

Job description / Role

The architect will be responsible for designing and delivering real world architectural solutions to strategic and dynamic requirements from fascinating business areas across the organisation.

Description

* Participate in the solution technology selection and that meets the business requirements along with the solution architect within landscape
* Designing major aspects of the architecture of an application, including components such as user interface, middleware and infrastructure
* Designs the interaction between systems, imposes restrictions on the use of platforms and tools.
* Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
* Sets global standards shared between supervised systems and ensuring that uniform enterprise wide application design standards are maintained
* Performing design and code reviews
* Collaborating with other stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business demand
* Approve final product before launches

Requirements

* At least 5 years of experience within developing/architecting applications/services in one or more of the tech streams.
* Understanding of architectural patterns and experience in defining architectures for IT systems that are highly available and scalable.
* Experience of successful application design and integration in large scale enterprise organisations.
* Demonstrable technical expertise, you will have the ability to design solutions and evaluate the merit of different technical options and approaches.
