Employment: Full Time

The Assistant Clerk is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations and Clerk reports to the Senior Administrative Officer and is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that municipal operations are maintained in effective and efficient manner.

Job Description:
- Provide administrative support to ensure that operation are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner for following Activities:
- Type correspondence, reports and other documents;
- Maintain office file;
- Open and distribute the mail;
- Take minutes at meetings;
- Distribute minutes;
- Coordinate repairs to office equipment;
- Maintain confidential records and files;
- Maintain records of decisions;
- Arrange for payment of honorariums;
- Research and assist with the preparation of motions, policies and procedures;
- Prepare documents and reports on computer;
- Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

- Preferable a minimum of 5 years working experience;
- At least Vocational Diploma/Certificate from a 2 year Technical course;
- At least 3 years related working experience in office work, documentation and control;
- Knowledge of Engineering disciplines like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical. Etc;
- Knowledge of office administrative and bookkeeping procedures;
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy confidentiality;
- Knowledge to prepare reports;
- Knowledge on Management Systems;
- Able to handle complaints and feedback.
