Our Landscaping Team is looking for an Assistant Manager, Health & Safety who will be responsible for assisting in the development, performance and maintenance of the health and safety activities of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with all day-to-day health and safety activities.
• Contribute to ensuring that the organization meets all health and safety legislation objectives and that appropriate risk mitigation/control measures are in place.
• Assist with risk assessment, audit review, monitoring & managing health and safety within the organization
• Assist with investigating incidents and accidents to ensure the timely production of corrective and preventative action plans.
• Provide advice, guidance and support to the organization with regards to health and safety legislation, issues and compliance together with all applicable organization policies and practices, referring to Line Manager as appropriate
• Assist with identifying any shortfalls in and/or potential improvements to policy and process, assess effectiveness of current policies and processes and recommend and help implement required changes
• Maintain and improve mechanisms for risk assessment and disseminate feedback as appropriate

Requirements

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
• Minimum 8 years' experience of health and safety governance
• Relevant experience in mega construction projects from the contractor's side
• Understanding of health and safety management obligations (including statutory obligations), requirements and dynamics
• Experience of computer software
• Ability to implement health and safety management and control
• Leadership with ability to drive a team
• Experience in GCC countries highly preferred
