Bakery Chef

We are looking for a Bakery Chef to be an effective part and a great assist to the Kitchen department and help in the development of the hotel.

What you will be doing:

- Train and manage bakery personnel and supervise/coordinate all related activities.
- Estimate bakery consumption and requisition or purchase items.
- Select and develop recipes.
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards.
- Maintain proper equipment operation/maintenance; and ensure proper safety and sanitation in bakery area.
- To maintain exceptional standards of product and service delivery that is consistent with customer expectations.
- To research and circulate findings of all new bakery initiatives and trends, and to ensure that the hotel leads the market in terms of quality and new product innovation.
- Accountable for the generation and management of bakery budgets.
- To source and build relationships with all food and equipment suppliers, ensuring that the best produce is delivered with pricing that incorporates the scale of the business.
- To implement and manage a strong waste management system, this will be underpinned by structured ordering and stock management systems.
- To facilitate the recruitment and placement of bakery team members and to put structures in place to continuously develop and monitor the progress of the team.
- Attends department meetings and summarizes performance.
- Highlights achievements, problems, challenges.
- Attends productivity reviews.
- Coordinates with outlet mangers for daily events.
- Conducts and attends briefing

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or in a similar role
- Fluent English Language
- Excellent leadership, communication and training skills
- Strong attention to detail, Highly responsible, organized & reliable
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
