Working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience with a world-renowned consultant.

Duties

- To undertake Public health international projects
- Representing Atkins at meetings with Clients and Contractors
- Ensure Quality Assurance/Quality control processes have been incorporated in the design
- Review of all mechanical submissions to ensure consistency of approach across package
- Preparation of design calculations for mechanical services
- Preparing technical mark ups/sketches for drafting by the CAD team
- Consistent attention to technical correctness & quality deliverables
- Develop parametric families & libraries related to mechanical works
- To work on clash check software such as NAVISWORK
- Liaise with other designers to coordinate the services in Revit / CAD

Requirements

Requirements

- 4 years of experience working in a design consultancy, preferably in the Middle East
- Proven experience working in a design consultancy specialized in Public health & Fire Fighting, capacity of a designer and technical authority having broad professional knowledge and experienced judgement
- Design knowledge in HVAC would be an added advantage
- Good level of computer literacy in Windows and other Microsoft packages - an understanding of AutoCAD/Revit is beneficial
- Wider knowledge of integrated design and collaboration with other disciplines highly desirable
- Capable of working under pressure and on several projects simultaneously
- Able to understand and express technical concepts in written and verbal language with high standard of written and verbal communication skills
- Able to innovate new solutions as well as applying existing solutions to problems
- Able to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
- Possess a Degree/higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of BIM/Revit standards & Knowledge of CAD/BIM standards
- Working knowledge of CDE in multi-disciplinary environment
- Knowledge of Multi-disciplinary BIM integration
- Have good understanding of the Mechanical design requirements and design softwares
- Working knowledge of drawing control, revisions & issue protocols
- Ability to work as part of a team and have a proactive approach
