Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Adhere to company policies, systems and internal control standards in order to ensure quality, accuracy and adequacy of broker sales activities.
- Develop the broker & sub-dealers annual sales, staffing plan and Key Performance Indicators.
- Prepares vehicle sales, revenue and operating budgets for each territory.
- Assists his manager, in determining on a monthly basis, the sales and pricing policy by vehicle type based on actual results and competitive market conditions.
- Implements policies, procedures and processes in the sales function to facilitate smooth operations, risk management, and proper customer service.
- Sets weekly and monthly sales targets for each sales team and ensures availability of manpower and vehicles to achieve the targeted sales.
- Reviews and recommends initiatives with regards to slow moving stock and anticipated shortages.
- Monitors and compares actual monthly sales, gross profit and operating expenses against targets to determine the level of achievement and takes remedial action.
- Encourages and monitors cross selling between vehicle sales, service and accessories to achieve customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Complies with franchisor’s instructions, policies and procedures and training requirements as and when issued.
- Ensures that all teams have nearly equal capabilities by providing focused training and distributing individual existing strengths among the teams.
- Assists the sales teams in closing sales and acts as first line contact to customers to facilitate resolution of any issues experienced with the sales process.
- Implements pricing and discount policy in line with the agreed pricing structure and delegation matrix.
- Reviews with sales support staff, cases where credit application is likely to be delayed beyond the agreed date. Intervenes in such cases to expedite the turnaround time and communicates effectively with the customer.
- Liaises with logistics to assure adequate supplies of vehicles to meet projected sales forecasts.
- Coordinates with logistics and PDI to ensure that delivery dates per the customer orders are met as requested by the branch.
- Undertakes daily monitoring of vehicles reserved for customers to ensure that sale in respect thereof is closed within the ‘Delivery Cycle Period’ as per the Company Policies.
- Encourages, authorizes and monitors “demo” drives for customers.
- Sets targets and monitors the performance of sales teams in revenue generation through advanced selling techniques.
- Monitors showroom traffic and tracks client conversion on a daily and weekly basis.
- Review on weekly and monthly basis, achievement of targets in terms of volume, gross profit, operating profit, inventory and receivables and take prompt corrective measures.
- Review the weekly slow moving inventory with the concerned employees and implement a plan of action, agreed with the stakeholder, to ensure that slow-moving inventory is cleared promptly.
- Monitors customer satisfaction ratings from the level of sales up to the delivery, in order to ensure that any weakness is correctly analysed and corrective action is promptly taken
- Manages, trains, and motivates sales staff to achieve their targets through continued development of their skills and equitable distribution of leads and workload.

Requirements

- Must have at least 15 years of experience in the automotive sector, of which a minimum of 5 to 7 years should have been as Sales Senior Management.
- Experience in the GCC a must with experience in Saudi Arabia a plus.
- A Bachelor degree from a reputable university, preferably in Marketing or Bus. Administration, MBA would be a plus.
- Previous experience in automotive businesses is an essential.
- Must have had experience for management level in the past.
- Must have a proven track record of successfully managing the growth of an automotive brand
- Must have experience of hands-on management of a multi-geography automotive distribution business with good knowledge of supply chain management and methodologies including planning, logistics, procurement, storage and distribution.
- Must have the ability to think at a strategic level and the talent to transform strategy into plans, and plans into actions.
- Experience of dealing and interacting with government agencies/bodies to solve regulatory, administrative, logistical, and legal issues related to business activities would be a plus
- A leader who can recruit, inspire, and align high quality competent teams and develop their capabilities through coaching and training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to influence, convince, and professionally present plans internally to the Senior Management, and externally to Principals, Consultants, and other third parties.
