Business Analyst

Job description / Role

- Develop a strong understanding of Motive solutions and impact on our customer’s business operations and metrics.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Motive reporting framework.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the customer’s business and document clear, concise and verifiable requirements.
- Translate these requirements into requirements specifications.
- Work as part of consulting deployment teams to drive requirements elaboration and documentation.
- Work as part of consulting deployment teams to analyze business reporting requirements elaboration and documentation.
- Communication with clients including requirements gathering and presentation of analysis results.
- Delivers analysis around a range of metrics associated with all the deployments in the program.
- Demonstrates sound commercial insight into the data that is analyzed and presentation of that analysis to a wide audience.
- Ensures that the Customer realizes all the benefits associated with the solutions delivered.
- Generates new reports in support of new project initiatives

Requirements

- 5+ years experience in Business Analysis preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and business intelligence problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions
- Ability to dissect, learn, and document existing reporting and/or database solutions.
- Self-starter; ability to work independently.
- Good interpersonal skills; effective team player.
- Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry a plus.
- Prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle.
- Prior experience in developing database queries to retrieve and manipulate data.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry – knowledge of the following is highly desirable:
- Solid understanding of wire-line architecture (starting with the Core all the way to CPE).
- Able to articulate how Triple play traffic flows in the network
- Able to articulate the different Quality of Service parameters that can be tracked and that are used in networking.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point
- Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation. Proficiency with business intelligence tools.
- Strong English written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to travel up to 20-30% internationally
