Business Development Manager - Saudi Arabia

A leading, established travel company is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their sales team in Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Country Manager, the BDM will be responsible for capturing new business accounts, generating sales leads and closing sales deals, presenting prospects and developing proposals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead the sales team of 6 in Saudi Arabia and articulate the company's goals, vision and strategy into everyday activities.
* Create and develop a sales pipeline for Tier one accounts and a plan to win business.
* Proactively engage with prospective clients and existing clients in order to identify and create new business opportunities.
* Develop strong business relationships with decision makers and key influencers in all targeted prospects.
* Proactively identify revenue generation opportunities.
* Work alongside marketing to support the business development process through the provision of accurate and up to date information relating to the generation of leads, management of prospects, generation of proposals and the raising of orders.
* Provide standard reporting and statistics to management, specifically in relation to the sales pipeline.
* Conduct post-implementation and loss reviews under the guidance of the Country Manager.
* Work to maximise revenue generation opportunities whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer satisfaction among customers and prospective customers.
* Work with personnel from multi-national accounts corporate sales and other regions where appropriate, on strategic Business Development opportunities.
* Work with sales support, customer sales, customer service centre and service provision in ensuring that the handover of new accounts is carried out in an organised and effective manner.
* Develop sales campaigns and contribute competitor intelligence to marketing.

Requirements

* Minimum 5 years sales experience within the travel industry.
* Must have strong management experience as this role requires the individual to manage a sales team of 6.
* Must have previous Global Distribution System (GDS) experience.
* Degree qualified in a technical/business discipline.
* Must be fluent in Arabic.
* Proven track record of driving business development, sales success and have the capability to identify, structure and close business orientated solutions.
* The individual must have a proven ability to operate at senior management level.
