Our Client, is a large diversified international contracting organization, established more 50 years ago

In the early 1970`s the company further expanded operations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, North Africa and Mediterranean area.

Originating in Greece their construction consisted of major ports and other important marine works.

In the 1980`s the company further diversified into general contracting in oil and gas, infrastructure, electromechanical and geotechnical works across most of the Middle East

As a result of further expansion they are looking for a Business Development Manager, who will be responsible for the KSA market.

We are also looking for another BDM to take care of the Egyptian market

Key role is to source, develop and implement new business opportunities within the region.

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Participate in the formulation of the Company's business development strategy by providing input on local market trends and opportunities.
- Responsible for the implementation of the Company's business development strategy, by maintaining key relationships, identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and ensuring that the Company is pre-qualified for such opportunities within the region.
- Work closely with customers to promote company technologies, products and services that meet their needs and determine how we can leverage our offerings to new business opportunities.
- Identify prospective projects in the areas of the company’s activities (heavy infrastructure civil, marine, rail and oil & gas works) and cultivate business contacts with authorities and other prospective clients, consultants, etc.
- Liaises with the Business Development Manager and the Regional Manager for better coordination of business development activities and guidance or approval as needed.
- Prepare pre-qualification submissions as well as classification and registration procedures for his region.
- Oversee the organization of regional photographic archives and the preparation of specialized project lists for prequalification purposes.
- Provide input regarding updates for brochures, printed material and internet.
- Provides recommendations/ evaluation reports regarding company participation in Trade Fairs, Exhibitions, conferences and other events.
- Maintains the knowledge Centre for the construction methodologies and ensures the creation, acquisition, and sharing of knowledge within the company.

Requirements

- M.Sc. in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical with an MBA desired)
- 10 years substantial and broad business experience in Business Development in EPC construction with at least 3-5 years demonstrated success in selling and developing new business with revenues ranging from $25 million to over $100 million
- At least 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Construction
- Knowledge of the market with a demonstrated network of COI's (Centers of Influence) to include developers, owners, owners representatives, architects, engineers and other professional services relationships that could be leveraged to create business opportunities
- Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential
- Experience with multinational construction companies is an advantage
