Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Developer, Asia-Pacific to join the Hydrogen Department Commercial team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the commercial viability of the Low Carbon Hydrogen/Ammonia into different Asian markets. The candidate will play a role in the implementation and execution of the strategies put in place for commercialization of Low Carbon Ammonia and Hydrogen. The candidate will negotiate sale and purchase agreements and help in screening, analyzing, planning and developing new business opportunities while supporting existing ones

Duties & Responsibilities

Support and lead the commercial contracts negotiations (TS, HOA, SPA) with existing and potential customers on low carbon ammonia offtake.

Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive dynamics in Asia.

Manage existing customer accounts and identify and develop business relations with new potential partners.

Collaborate with different internal teams (law, economics, treasury, market intelligence, shipping) and align business development activities with existing targeted objectives.

Assist and contribute to the participation in the Hydrogen market auctions, tenders in Asia.

Organize and participate in industry networking events and engagement sessions for business development purposes.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Economics. MBA or a relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.

At least 15 years of professional experience in commercial role, with a proven track record of long-term commercial deals in LNG or Ammonia business, preferably in Asian markets.

A combination of experience and knowledge of the LNG industry and/or Ammonia, is required, including marketing and origination, operations, delivery planning, shipping.

Proven successful track-record in long-term commercial contracts negotiations (TS, HOA, SPA) with a focus on Asia-Pacific.

Understanding of the Asian electricity power markets environment, experience in doing business with electrical power producers is an advantage.

Ability to manage cross-cultural relationships internally and externally with experience in Asian cultures as well as Middle Eastern cultures.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multinational team is essential.

Willingness and ability to travel.

Excellent communication skills, proficiency in speaking and writing in English, working level Asian languages is preferred.
