Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Placing orders to overseas suppliers and coordinating with different departments (internal / external) to ensure timely delivery of the goods to the stores with minimum OOS/Overstock situations.
- Monitor stock levels across the business to ensure that the stock position is in line with the business requirements.
- Maintains the profit margin by product and category, in accordance with Company guidelines, by ensuring that goods are purchased from suppliers and sold to customers at the appropriate price.
- Generates budgeted income through organising rebates, & commission from overseas and local Suppliers for the promotion of their products.
- Organises all overseas and local product promotions, branding and sampling activities in accordance with the requirements of the business.
- Regular review of the assortment to ensure that the offers remain relevant to the market needs.
- Visits competitor outlets regularly to compare prices on key lines and identify current promotions and other activities.
- Maintains the available product and category range in accordance with the set norms and decide on new listing, under the right category and department.
- Oversees the update and maintenance of the retail system on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and integrity of information held.
- Analyses of overseas and local suppliers, to determine their adherence to agreed service standards, and take necessary actions to rectify any problems.
- Manage staff in accordance with agreed policies of the Company and refer all important staff issues, which cannot be resolved within the team, to the Manager.
- Liaises with other Company Divisions regularly, such as Finance, IT, Logistics and Marketing, in order to resolve any issues.
- May be required to carry out ad hoc duties for the company within the scope of his / her skills and experience.

Requirements

- Minimum of 4 years in a similar trading role
- Experience of working in a busy supermarket environment preferred, with stock management knowledge
- Fluency in spoken & written English ( Working knowledge of Arabic important)
- Valid KSA driving licence
- Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
- Proven success in supervising, developing, training & motivating staff
