Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Strategy

* Drive the Cash Management Operations Service Delivery Function in Bahrain.
* To manage, direct and control all aspects of the Cash Management Operations in Bahrain in order to minimise the potential for Operational Loss and to provide a High Quality Product delivery capability to customers.

Processes

* Ensure timely processing of Outward Payments, Inward Payments and Cheques collections including transactions received through STS/ S2B.
* Responsible for processing transaction including call back, Signature verification monitoring , timely and accurate response to referrals and End of day controls.
* Monitor suspense account balances , and Nostro accounts and ensure timely closure of the same.
* Ensure all queries and complaints are responded on time.

Service Quality

* To support the implementation of Service Quality tools for Banking operations team
* Build a support "sales" culture in operations by installing the concept of both internal/ external customer, maximise on service efficiency and drive this process by establishing service level agreements with the sales and service functions and ensure delivery standards as per SLAs
* Work closely with the Technology unit in implementation new or improved software, automate manual processes wherever feasible
* Provide an oversight over the central repository of all contracts (GOI) and ensure its kept up to date
* All agreements to be renewed on or before the expiry day
* All EUC used within Operations to be updated in EUC register and kept up-to date.
* All units in Operations should be every audit Ready.
* Timely response to queries, co-ordinate with branches and other departments for smooth workflow.

People and Talent

* Train, staff to ensure they are capable to support multiple desks, have a robust succession planning, provide opportunities for staff to grow and better channels of communications and build team culture within Operations.

Risk Management

* Enhance the control environment to minimise operational risk
* Develop and maintain up to date Department Operations Instructions
* Ensure effective implementation of the Business specific and generic KCSA/ CST/ KRI. To review operational risk highlighted by KCSA/ CST etc and to initiate and approve action plans. Ensure time follow up on progress/ action plans to address operations risks
* Ensure the effective implementation of the Group Operational Risk Manual
* To serve as Departmental Continuity co-ordinator for Operations unit -
* Ensure is fully aware of all the policies and procedures issued in relation to money laundering and sanctions. He must ensure compliance with these policies and procedures on an ongoing basis. Any suspicious transaction must immediately be reported to the supervising officer.
* Ensure compliance with the Laws of the land, implement and exercise local banking regulations and build strong relationships with the Central Bank.

Governance

* To manage CIB Operations functions within the parameters of the approved budgets. To strive for cost efficiencies in the Operations function. To manage, direct and control all aspects of the Banks Operations.
