Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Within the framework of global business strategy and the local accounting principles, contribute to the achievement of the company's objectives through the proper accounting and administration of the local structures while optimizing assets and liabilities; minimizing risk exposure; provide professional finance and administrative support to operational management locally, and ensure efficient and timely financial reporting and payment of suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:
• In close support of the business, manage with maximum efficiency all accounting activities in line with local and corporate practice and policies, ensuring proper optimization of assets (fixed, current), liabilities, cash flows and risks ; optimize the tax liabilities and protect the legal interests of the company.
• Provide financial expertise within the organization, ensuring complete adherence to local legislation and implementation of Group accounting policies and procedures.
• Enforce the procedural framework defined for the organization and set up appropriate management control tools to monitor performance and propose corrective actions where necessary.
• Assure accurate and on-time financial and qualitative expenses and trial balance reporting to local management, regional and Corporate Finance management activities and entities, in particular for: Accounting statements (Profit& Loss and Trial Balance),
• Supervises the accounting staff.
• Closes all internal audit recommendations and implement Global policies and procedures.
• Reviews entries to the general ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
• Coordinates and prepares for the audits as required by the company policies and regulations.
• Performs trial balances adjustments and monthly closing entries.
• Examines, analyzes, interprets and corrects accounting records as needed to ensure accurate and reliable data necessary for business operations and for the purpose of giving advice or preparing statements.
• Performs reconciliation of complex transactions.
• Helps the accounting staff in the bookkeeping and reconciliations when needed to meet deadlines.
• Controls payments, examines records of amounts due and makes sure invoices are paid according to terms and discounts taken.
• Directs invoice processing and verification, expense coding, and drafting of payment checks or vouchers.
• Suggests improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of unit.
• Review Fixed assets register and accounting (acquisition, sales, depreciation) and performs regular inventories.
• Receiving & controlling Banks and petty cash reconciliations.
• Coordinates with Bank regarding various Banks transactions.
• Recommends changes in the accounting system to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responsible of Balance sheet’s accounts reporting.
• Provide financial input in the development of the business (acquisitions, mergers, investments, divestments; licensing in/out agreements and other opportunities), gathering and modelizing accounting data as appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to the code of ethics and cost-efficiency at all times.
• Be a contributor in the affiliate’s decision-making process through provision of appropriate financial information and analyses.
• Manage professional networks at all levels of the group finance organization.
• Be the contact of the Group Accounting organization.

Requirements

• University degree, ideally majoring in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years’ experience in Accounting
• Extensive experience with ERPs (SAP or SCALA) needed.
• Consistency, Reliability, Firmness, Perseverance and Management, company value’s advocate.
