Faithful+Gould are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Director to form part of our Project Management Consultant (PMC) project team based on a large mixed use Development in Riyadh. The main objective of the PMC is to implement and manage the overall Development Programme, which includes infrastructure enhancement works, as well as retail mall and hospitality new build and refurbishment elements.

The team shall be expected to assist the client in any way possible to ensure the Development is completed to the required timescales and within their stated budgets. The project is expected to last for up to 3 years for Phase 1, with an option for Phase 2 lasting a further 2-3 years also.

Core Responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Project Director.
- Direct responsibility for a commercial and contracts teams
- Develop and operate strategies to maximize project revenues and cash flow.
- Responsible of maintaining long term working relationship with clients by ensuring that the best services within quality and cost is achieved.
- Responsible for ensuring that Faithful+Gould’ s corporate commercial governance is rigorously enforced.
- Contract management and administration, particularly on breaches of contract terms
- Monitoring and managing bonds and insurances
- Budget and cost control – oversight of the ‘master budget’ and constituent project budgets
- Variation assessments, claims and dispute management
- Extensive knowledge and experience in respect of international contracts requirements as applicable to large scale construction contracts.
- Leading all commercial and contractual functions.
- Responsible for monitoring all forms of agreements and contracts covering products/services provided by the organization to its clients
- Ensuring that the company meets its contractual obligations to our client’s complete satisfaction after awarding of project.

Requirements

- Western educated to a minimum of Bachelor's degree in a RICS accredited quantity surveying degree
- Professional accreditation of Fellow with RICS
- A minimum of 20 years post graduate experience
- A minimum of 15 years’ operating at senior management and director level
- Have a minimum of 5 years Middle East experience (preferred)
- Expert knowledge of all commercial contracts with FIDIC experience essential.
- Delivered major projects from inception to completion with a global consultancy.
- Have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Proven track record of holding leadership positions
- Proven ability to work and manage projects of large scale and complexity; and produce quality works on time and within budget.
- Customer facing experience with a “win-win” philosophy and “can-do” attitude
- Have excellent interpersonal and presentational skill
