Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Provide commercial and contractual support to all aspects of the KSA portfolio.
- Ensure the preparation, timely submission and forensic review of Monthly Contract Review reports for all GMP’s.
- Work with the Operations Teams to immediately mitigate and recover any negative monthly movement.
- Ensure Risk, Opportunity and especially cost control are aggressively managed and prioritized/optimized.
- Provide contractual and commercial input on all KSA bids, tenders and cost estimates at a strategic level.
- Ensure appropriate and robust methods are in place to identify change on all KSA projects and ensure timely implementation of change control processes. Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement on all projects
- In line with internal and Regional systems, ensure that appropriate measures for management of risk are adopted.
- Provide tactical leadership and input on all contractual claims ensuring that the notification, compliant substantiation and follow-up are on a contractually sound footing whilst maintaining effective communications with Client Teams throughout.
- Ensure KSA payment applications are technically and commercially sound in all aspects and that all required back up is included.
- Liaise with Client Team Senior Management to facilitate timely issuance and payment on certificates month-on-month.
- Follow up and track all Retention and Defects Liability Period payments with systematic and structured frequency. Escalate issues if/as required
- Provide oversight of significant payments to sub-contractors and suppliers to protect and secure continuity of service and supply on KSA projects whilst maximizing/balancing potential for individual Project’s cash position to reasonable limits.

Requirements

- BSc in Quantity Surveying from a reputed University
- Fluent in Arabic and English, written and oral.
- 10 years previous experience in a role specialising in the field of Commercial/Contractual management on major projects with successful commercial outcomes/Final Accounts
- Previous experience in claims management with successful outcomes
- Commercial acumen: understanding the commercial mechanics of contracting first principles and disciplines
- Outstanding ability to negotiate and represent companies best interests while keeping relationships intact
- Ability to integrate contractual obligations with commercial/business needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Intuitive; develops empathy with external parties and colleagues in appropriate ways
- Engenders trust and respect from external parties and colleagues
- Able to persuade or defend Honeywell position with tact/ diplomacy
- Responsive and flexible, works unsupervised and does the right thing without asking about it
- Plans ahead, good preparation, organises time and other resources effectively without the need for cramming, last-minute rushing or disorganised/excessive overtime
- Identifies priority issues
- Enjoys a highly transparent and performance-oriented work environment
