Due to continued success in the Region we are now seeking an experienced Communication Engineer to join our Maritime Shipyard Development Project in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Maritime Yard is located in Ras Al-Khair Industrial City and will cover a proposed area of 4,100m by 1,200m. Maritime Yard is envisioned to be a world class maritime location providing a combination of New Ship Buildings, and MRO facilities(Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) including Very Large Crude Carrier Capabilities (VLCC). The principal assets for Maritime Yard will be the Dry Docks, Wharfs, Piers and Cranes.

The Communications Systems Engineer will be required to undertake communications systems requirements analysis, systems design, development, integration, testing, and evaluation of acceptance activities to support Maritime communication systems in the underwater C4I domain. You will be responsible for successfully applying current knowledge to systems development of legacy.

The Communications Systems Engineer will hold the following duties and responsibilities:
- Developing communication architecture solutions across the frequency spectrum.
- Installation and integration of equipment’s in a range of military and commercial platforms.
- Direction of equipment and system solutions testing and evaluation in a lab environment.
- Responsibility for the production of technical and program support documentation.
- Input to design, development, setting to work and trials operation of communication systems across the communications spectrum.
- Coordinate and conduct communications system end-to-end performance and analysis studies.
- Engage with relevant customer and peer technologist stakeholders undertaking design and test activities.
- Plan/structure own work and report to Project Manager on progress.
- Engage with relevant customers and stakeholders undertaking system architecture design and test activities to ensure requirements are satisfied.

Requirements

- Qualified to degree-level (in engineering or closely related subject) or with significant experience gained from working in a similar role.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of teams and to also undertake tasks unsupervised.
- Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own discipline and a basic knowledge of these elements in other disciplines.
- Capable of innovative thinking.
- Be able to make evaluative judgements on the analysis of factual information.
- Report/presentation writing skills.
- Sound and comprehensive communications skills are required in order to exchange complex information.
- Marine Experience will be major added value.
