Communication Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled Communication Engineer to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia within the Oil and Gas industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining communication systems to ensure seamless and reliable communication within the organization's operations.

Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing communication systems including radio, microwave, fiber optic, and satellite systems.
- Ensuring the reliability and security of communication networks and systems.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate communication systems with existing infrastructure and technologies.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any communication system issues or outages in a timely manner.
- Conducting regular maintenance and upgrades to optimize communication system performance.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to recommend and implement relevant improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations in all communication system designs and implementations.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing communication systems, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Proficiency in using communication system design software and tools.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and encryption techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to communication systems.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) would be a plus.
