Job description / Role
Responsible for ensuring that the operations of the firm's business comply with internal and external compliance standards with respect to a specific section, liaise with other organizations, industry and regulatory authorities.
Main responsibilities:
- Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program by legal ethical manners.
- Provides advices on compliances issue to the various function heads
- Ensure that contracts and policies made are in compliance with standards as well as in accordance with rules and laws.
- Consults with the Company’s Legal as needed to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.
- Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending & develop & oversee a system for uniform handling for such violations.
- Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
- Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Company Compliance Committee of the Board and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
- Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.
- Institutes and maintains an effective compliance communication program for the organization, including promoting (a) heightened awareness of Standards of Conduct, and (b) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
- Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation
- Protects assets by establishing compliance standards
- Manages day-to-day operation of the Program

Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- 5 years experience as Compliance Manager
