Comptel OM Architect

Job description / Role

- Architecting and designing solutions meeting the business and technical needs of an enterprise using Comptel IL product (preferred version 8..2).
- Support Project Manager by providing inputs to timeline and effort estimation
- Designing business logic thru BST and Macroset with Java Webservices
- Analyse and Implement Comptel service catalog
- Analyse Changes in BST logics and NEI’s.
- Creating and updating SRS, HLD, product/Interface documents
- Java architecture designing with design patterns, reusability, maintainability, flexibility

Requirements

- First class Graduate in any discipline (Computer Science preferred) from a reputed university with a good background of software development and IT experience of around 10+ years in telecom / IT.
- 5+ years’ experience working as Solution Architect in the OSS market, preferably with Service Fulfilment.
- 3+ years of Comptel OM experience, having advanced knowledge in Provisioning and Activation and Fulfilment solution, covering wireline, wireless and data services.
- Has worked on Business Service Tools (BST) and Catalogue.
- Experience working as system integrator in multi-vendor OSS solutions.
- Good understanding of software development life cycle and Agile/iterative methodology.
- Prior experience in offshore-onshore development/maintenance projects
- Ability to perform technical analysis, design and identify impacts (functional/technical)
- Proven expertise in writing ‘good’ code & experience in multi-tiered development projects
- Exposure to Siebel CRM is an added advantage.
- Experience with building or using standard frameworks, understanding of design patterns, Knowledge of performance & security aspects.
- Knowledge of sizing and capacity planning.
- Knowledge in software development processes and technologies: UML, RUP, C++, Java, XML, SCRUM, SOA, SOAP.
- Knowledge in networking and telecommunications technologies/standards: LTE, GSM, WAN, LAN, MetroE, TCP/IP.
- UNIX (SunOS, HP-UX, Linux or AIX) as a user.
