Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Manager – a well-rounded professional –will work with the Senior Managers to successfully deliver consulting engagements in the Government and Public sector, leveraging PwC’s network and available consultants. As a member of this practice area, he/she will be required to provide input on the business plan and assist in delivering to it.

Responsibilities would include the development of the PMO vision, ideas and priorities, gather and analyse data relating to the current resources, capabilities and skills of PMO, work with concerned teams/ functions to design implementation plans, and provide support for developing business readiness frameworks with supporting processes (e.g. training and communication).

Key Responsibilites:
- PMO/ Project Design and Development
- Identify project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
- Document any business requirements for specific initiatives/ projects.
- Organise the activities of specific program/ project areas.
- Maintain mechanisms to manage change control, risks and issues within specific projects.

Program Implementation and Delivery
- Lead knowledge building and sharing, using knowledge management methodologies, techniques, and processes.
- Coordinate with others to utilise learning and development tools and techniques to analyse, identify and communicate requirements for change.

Program Evaluation
- Evaluate project outcomes in terms of quality, consistency, accuracy, overall value, completion dates and provider performance.
- Ensure that recording and maintaining a project database containing all related information, (data, documents, reports etc.) takes place.

Budget Management
- Develop project budget and take necessary actions to approve and adjust as per recommendations
- Monitor project budgets and prepare regular status reports.
- Follow up on project financial measures and report results to the PMO Director.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, 9+ years total experience with at least 2 years project management skills consulting experience. Who demonstrates business acumen and content leadership and can confidently manage PwC consultants, and clients. The preferable candidate would be able manage and run transformation projects.


Requirements:
- 7-9 years of experience
- At least 2 years working as a Project Manager preferably with the Government and Public Sector
- Experience in PM methodology and practices, as well as experience in managing a portfolio of projects.
- Lead discussions with high level government officials to identify their key requirements, interpret their mandates and facilitate the setting of their long-term strategies
- Knowledge/understanding of the Middle East Government and Public Sector including a deep understanding of global trends in the Government and Public Sector
- Strong team player who leads from the front
- Effective at multitasking
