Employment: Full Time

The Contract Administrator will assist the Senior Contracts Administrator in ensuring that the requirements of the contract documents are implemented and maintained throughout the Contract period And also assist in the review of contractual claims and providing contractual advice to the Cost Estimation and Project Control teams in respect of the evaluation of interim and final payments certificates, variations and reporting.

The position will require interaction with relevant Contractors in respect of all contractual matters.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in the drafting of commercial terms for design, engineering and/or construction services for approval by the Contracts Manager.
• Reviews all contract documents (including solicitation) to ensure congruity and to minimize patent and latent ambiguities.
• Assists Senior Contracts Administrator, as required, with administration of on-going Contracts, including monitoring contractor and Commission compliance with the Contract documents.
• Investigates problems and recommends corrective action.
• Prepares correspondence and maintains records necessary to ensure the effective administration of all Contractual matters.
• As requested by the Senior Contracts Administrator, assists in the preparation of Contract change and claim analysis and resolution.
• Assists the Senior Contract Administrator in contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment to contractor Assist in the preparation of final approval pre-qualification and selection of contractors.
• Assist in tender negotiations.
• Ensure that all contractual procedures are implemented and maintained Assist on all contractual matters.
• Prepare responses for Senior Contract Administrators review to contractors claims in accordance with the provisions of the Conditions of Contract and ensure the Clients interests are protected.
• Ensure all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, etc are in place and maintained and updated in accordance with the Contract and are in compliance with the Clients requirements.
• Assist the Estimation and Project Control teams in respect of contractual implications of change orders In coordination with the Senior Contract Administrator provide contractual advise in the evaluation of Interim and Final Payment Certificates.
• Prepare for review Payment Certificates.
• Prepare for review Recommendations for Release of Retention and Bonds.
• Prepare monthly Reports for review Assist in the preparation of Monthly Progress Reports
• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of VO, VR and Claim Logs Assist in the preparation of Recommendations for Release of Retention and Bonds.
• Attend Commercial Meetings and record minutes of meeting.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, preferably Quantity Surveying or business-related field, Professional Membership such as RICS, and training in contract, construction, and commercial law are required
• At least 10 years of experience and strong contracting background.
• Must have experience working in Aramco Projects.
