Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently looking for experienced Contracts Manager to join our team in Qatar for a site-based role.

Responsibilities

- The Contracts Manager will report to either a Commercial Manager or Associate Director.
- Responsible for administering all contracts and purchase orders related to construction activities.
- Ensuring that Contract Administration is exercised to the highest professional standards, that all information is current, and that every member of the team is receiving the information he needs to fulfil their responsibilities.
- Maintaining consistent and adequate procedures.
- Identify deviations in both construction and procurement progress and suggest possible courses of corrective action.
- Checking to ensure the contractors' bonds, guarantees and insurances and their renewal are in place.
- Updating change log.
- Inspecting timely to ascertain that the contractors fulfil their contractual obligations in confirming completion and issue appropriate certificates. Recommending to client with remedial plan if non-compliance is identified.
- Closing out contract and procurement activities per established procedures.
- Providing necessary inputs for risk management.

Requirements

Qualifications

- BSc degree in Contract Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
- 10+ years' post graduate experience
- 3 years of experience working in a similar role in Qatar.
- Ability to relate and interact successfully with a multi-cultural workforce at all levels is essential.
- Must have outstanding communication skills in written and spoken English and be capable of representing the company on contractual issues with the client.
- Must be familiar with FIDIC forms of contracts.
- Must be able to work both independently with a proactive approach and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Must be based in Qatar with NOC.
