Job description / Role
Control Room Operator - KSA
Salary: $20,000-$22,000 per annum + accommodation + medical + flight
Our client, a major player in the power industry, is currently looking for a Control Room Operator / Operations Technician for a combined heat and power plant in Saudi Arabia. The plant is a large CHP plant (approximately 300-400MW) and the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar type of power plant.
Duties include:
* Operate plant using distributed control system (DCS) from the control room
* Start-up / Shut-down of auxiliary units
* Adjusting controls to regulate power output
* Monitor and inspect plant equipment
* Inspection of records and log books
* Take regulatory action, based on readings from charts, meters and gauges, at established intervals
* Examine and test electrical power distribution machinery and equipment, using testing devices.
Requirements
* Be degree qualified (BSc or above) in an engineering subject
* Have experience as an operations technician / control room operator in a CHP plant or similar
