Our client’s firm, a designer fabricator and erector of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB), has created this exceptional opportunity for a Country Manager in Saudi Arabia who will be the direct link between the Executive Management Team and the overall operations of the firm in Saudi Arabia with the KSA operation being established since 2007.

This position oversees and is responsible for the daily aspects of sales, operations, maintenance, administration and financial sustainability of the firm in a manner that supports organization’s Mission Statement. This firm is also now experiencing significant growth within their international markets of the Middle East, South Asia and Africa.

Part of a major Middle East conglomerate, this firm employs over 700+ staff across the region and operates offices across 7 countries with distributorship arrangements across another 5 countries. Ranked No. 3 in the region, the firm has aggressive growth strategies forecast to advance this ranking in the marketplace.

The firm also supplies products to over 42 countries worldwide and manufacture and distribute Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEBs), Hot Rolled Steel Structures, Structural Steel Products and Building Accessories.

Reporting to the President and managing a team of 8 staff, the responsibilities of this role comprise to:
- With the direction of Executive Management, manage all area operations to ensure market share is sustained and maximized, sales targets are met, revenues and profits are maximized, quality targets are met and costs are controlled that are consistent with set budgets and business plans.
- Direct the day-to-day operational management of the business, applying as required a hands-on approach to producing solutions to strategic, technical, commercial, operational and personnel related challenges which may have impact on customer service and performance, with the emphasis on maintaining excellent customer relationships and service quality.
- Represent the organization in all government and non-government local stakeholders to enhance company reputation and subsequently manage any risks that may arise.
- Prepare and submit a detailed annual business operating plan in a timely manner (including proposal for days and dates of operation).
- Prepare and submit business performance reports on a monthly basis to Executive Management, detailing revenues, profits and cash.
- Develop and oversee the risk management plan and activities of the organization. Work with legal counsel as required.
- Participate, as required, in planning and operational meetings within the organization.

Requirements

- Degree in Engineering – Civil or comparable and ideally hold a MBA Degree.
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the prefabricated steel building sector or within the industrial construction sector and ideally possess experience in the Saudi PEB market.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with exceptional interpersonal skills is essential.
- The analytical thinker we seek will have supervisor people management skills and be strong organizers with good judgment.
- Candidates must be fluent in English and Arabic and have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
