Design Engineer

Job description / Role

This position will be responsible to create necessary drawings, BOM for the AHU orders. Candidate should have a good understanding of Sheet metal manufacturing process and create panel layout, structural design of unit and fan bases , brackets and release the same in the PLM system (Windchill).

Description
* Create necessary 2 D AutoCAD drawings for the AHU for each order
* Create necessary 3D models for AHU in Creo 2.0
* Work with manufacturing team and finalise the design
* Maintain the excel spreadsheet with necessary formulas and rules for BOM selection
* Need to create Modular BOM's to effectively utilise the same during order processing
* Create , BOM and release the same in PLM system - Windchill
* Need to be efficient to re-use parts created earlier

Requirements

Experience:
* 3-7 years of demonstrated experience in 2D drawings (specifically Auto CAD) and 3D - Creo in the field of HVAC or other manufacturing companies .

Proven experience of:
* 2D Drawing creation in Auto CAD , 3D is desirable not mandatory
* BOM Creation and Management in Windchill or similar PLM systems
* Working in cross-functional team
* Using MS Excel with formulas, rules etc.,

Key Competencies:
* Strong working knowledge in the area of sheet metal design
* Hands on Experience of Auto CAD tool for creating complex 2D drawings
* Hands on Experience of creating BOM's and managing the same in PLM systems
* Working with cross functional teams
* Relevant experience in the area of HVAC - AHU's , Fan coils , Chillers
* Ability to speak, read and write English language fluently

Qualifications:
* Diploma degree in the area of Mechanical Engineering
* Bachelor's degree in the area of Mechanical Engineering
