Job description / Role

Design Engineer - Mechanical - EET Engineering - Riyadh - KSA

As Design Engineer you are expected to design projects according to the client’s requirement in terms of construction drawings and the selection of appropriate material as per project planning.

These are the key accountabilities for this role:
- Review the client’s technical requirements for the project
- Present basic design to client upon developing preliminary design outlines
- Develop detailed designs required for the preparation of shop drawings and for the selection of appropriate equipment
- Ensure that designs meet international standards and local regulations
- Implement value engineering techniques to generate economical designs
- Receive feedback from the commissioning team to assess whether results are aligned with the technical requirements of clients
- Good knowledge of quality standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
- Carry out inspection in regards to the safety performance of the contractors
- Discuss the findings of his inspection with the Facility Manager / Supervisors
- Assist the supervisor in investigating any accident and check the supervisor’s report and action taken to remove the cause or causes of the accident
- Take part in any inspection of the site carried out by the management for the purpose of assessing the efficacy of any measure to be taken
- Adhere to the company QHSE policy at all times.

Requirements

You are required to have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and preferably currently located in KSA with transferrable Iqama.

About 5 - 8 years of relevant experience is required.

Technical Skills:
- Sound knowledge in Design, engineering, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical services (District cooling, HVAC, BMS, Fire Protection System, plumbing Drainage)
- Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards
- Technical know-how related to specific project requirements
- Knowledge of relevant International Standards & local regulations.
- Market knowledge from data bank for equipment, material, technical details, specifications of previous projects completed
