Director General Research & Strategy - Saudi National

Job description / Role

We are looking to recruit a Director General Research & Strategy - Saudi National for a newly established government entity. The role of the Director General Research & Strategy is to lead the development of media monitoring plans, direct the development and execution of country and center's communication strategy, and design communication coordination with external governmental and non-governmental in order to improve KSA perception domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:
* Set the Department performance objectives and continuously monitor progress and development towards strategic objectives
* Set Department's policies and procedures in order to ensure all relevant requirements are fulfilled to deliver high-quality services
* Provide directions for the development of yearly perception monitoring plan that includes identified topics and data sources to be monitored.
* Approve the detailed yearly media monitoring execution plan for each section and make sure it considers section's set goals and targets
* Review and validate ad-hoc request for polls execution, traditional and social media monitoring, initiate the development of the implementation plan, and provide support during implementation ensuring alignment with perception monitoring plan
* Approve polls results, media analysis results and consolidated audit reports from different sections to direct the development of country's narrative and communication strategy and provide recommendations and lessons learned for future references and improvements
* Provide insights and recommendations on domestic and international policies analysis and assess their impact on the country image
* Lead the development of the country's high level communication objectives ensuring alignment with government's official vision and mission & aspirations for the future
* Direct development of the entity's communication strategy to support the implementation of country's communication objectives.
* Endorse the development of the country's visual identity and content framework prepared by external agencies ensuring alignment with approved visual identity and content guidelines
* Direct the development of official spokesperson guidelines for all governmental and public entities' spokesperson.
* Direct establishment of good relationships with ministries, government entities and private entities by signing partnership agreement to fulfill communication needs
* Ensure collaboration with Independent stakeholders and review meetings summary and summary reports ensuring the good implementation of communication strategy
* Approve developed/ updated communication grid and ensuring its coherence.
* Approve finalized announcements to be released ensuring all activities requiring announcement are dealt with and are passed onto the right department

Requirements

Key Requirements:

* Bachelor Degree
* A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with at least 6 years of experience in a media environment or government entity
* Experience in strategy development, research and media monitoring and analysis
* Due to the Saudization policy this role is exclusive to Saudi Nationals only
