Our client, a leading High Net Worth individual with substantive diversified family interests in Saudi Arabia, seeks to appoint a Director of Business Development to identify and analyse new business opportunities for financial, asset management and investment purposes. This role is entrepreneurial in nature and best suits individuals from investment banking backgrounds with strong feasibility, valuation and market analysis skills.

Reporting to the CEO and the Board, the proven performer we seek for this pivotal role is responsible for the following:
- Working with Board and CEO in the commencement of new businesses / ventures and monitoring from an investment perspective.
- Assessing, evaluating and monitoring business development opportunities.
- Ability to assess, analyse, recommend and develop new green field opportunities (no industry/sector limitations).
- Performing business valuation analysis using different approaches (DCF, public company comparisons, and precedent transactions analysiS).
- Leading mergers and acquisitions with expertise in negotiating closing documents.
- Development of strategy to support and grow the firm’s investment portfolio.
- Financial modelling, budgeting, valuation of business, property analysis, market studies, due diligence, financial strategic planning and divestments.
- Preparation and presentation of reports at Board level.
- Management of new investments and ensure compliance with statutory and budgetary reporting requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or comparable with Chartered status, CMA and/or MBA qualifications being highly regarded.
- 8+ years’ experience in investment management and business development with a background in the investment banking sector being highly regarded. Experience within the property, real estate or construction sector would be highly regarded. Industry diversity is preferred.
- Must be a proven performer in the achievement of deadlines and targets with superior analytic skills.
- The lateral thinker we seek is a strong communicator with bilingual language skills in English (and ideally Arabic) being highly regarded.
