Employment: Full Time

We are currently seeking a Director – Used Cars to work with a leading Saudi Arabian firm who are the exclusive distributer of one of the world’s leading names in automobiles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the clients request they will only looking for candidates who have prior experience in working in the United States.

Job Purpose: To set, manage and control the Used Vehicles department’s sales plans, inventory and aging stock. Identify, launch and manage new showrooms and monitor the preparation of equipment, tools and staff in order to ensure increased sales revenues, decreased expenses and costs within the company’s operational guidelines and business targets.

Budgeting
- Prepare and recommend the Used Vehicles department budget by conducting analysis and preparing data related to specific elements as directed
- Monitor the financial performance of the Used Vehicles department against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon

Operations Management
- Manage the daily operations of the Used Vehicles department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies and procedures.
- Manage the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards

Used Vehicles Management:
- Ensure Sourcing of used vehicles from relevant and reliable suppliers, negotiate prices and ensure consistent and continuous balance between supply and demand.
- Identify, prepare and equip new showrooms kingdom-wide with the needed tools, equipment and staff to ensure meeting business expansion targets.
- Ensure proper and complete pre-delivery inspection of the used vehicles before setting them for sale in any sales centre all over the kingdom.
- Conduct regular but unscheduled field visits to the used vehicles sales centres across the kingdom to ensure on sight observation of the sales deals and operations.
- Control the aging stock of the used vehicles all over the kingdom and look for ways to liquidate it to ensure less age factor.

Used Vehicles Sales Management:
- Set, monitor and control the sales plans of the Used Vehicles department to ensure increased sales revenues and profits
- Monitor and coach the sales team performance in all the regions’ sales centres and ensure they are equipped with the skills needed to perform their job competently.

Reporting:
- Provide regular reports for the management with regard to sales revenues and comparison of the actual sales against the budget and the actual sales against last year’s sales for the same period.
- Provide a quarterly report about the used vehicles inventory, gross sales and purchasing to ensure the management awareness of the achievements, profits and expenses.

People Management:
- Ensure the required number of staff is available on time to support the ongoing operations through Human Resources
- Ensure that sales team is trained and coached on the techniques of selling used vehicles including knowing the condition of the vehicle
- Manage the activities and work of subordinates and evaluate their performance by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets
- Encourage subordinates and manage the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Policies, Processes & Procedures:
- Develop, improve and oversee the implementation of departmental policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the Used Vehicles Department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective services.

Safety, Quality & Environment:
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the section in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude

Requirements

- Automotive, Used Cars Sales
- 10 - 12 years relevant experience in used cars sales including at least 6 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or any other related field
- MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from a recognized business school (Desirable)
