Job description / Role
Purpose: To assist the business unit in meeting its strategic goals; lead and support kaizen events, Lean work cell design, standard product design revisions, cost improvement projects and capital expenditure projects.
Duties:
- Oversee all aspects of the electrical assembly operations
- Ensure work flows through the area smoothly and efficiently
- Ensure all workers timing records are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure scheduling system is accurate, communicated and updated daily.
- Confirms drawing is suitable for build and required components are available.
- Checks wiring acceptability and fit for purpose
- Work with all departments to achieve scheduled output and required quality.
- Ensure all work is carried out to Company policies i.e. Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety.
- Completes build sheets and conformity check lists
- Using lean tools, communication skills and leadership abilities, lead and facilitate kaizen activities encouraging cross functional groups to participate and meet common goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology
- 3+ years electrical assembly experience including control stations preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Intermediate user in computer programs including AutoCAD, Solid Works, MS Office, ERP, etc
- Knowledge of all safety codes, standards, practices and rules to ensure safety of employees, public and equipment
- Skill to read and interpret product drawings
- Experience in presenting to all levels of the organization.
