Job description / Role
Electrical Site Engineer (Water Treatment Plant) - Dammam, Saudi Arabia
The role is for an Electrical Engineer and will oversee electrical supervision including Low Voltage and Electrical works.
Job Responsibilities
- Reporting to Project Manager
- It is envisaged that the right individual will have a broad understanding of all high level electrical systems experience
- Monitoring and inspection of construction electrical and wiring work in accordance with quality requirements.
- Experience in reviewing shop drawings and vendors' submittals.
- Experience in Commissioning and start up - trouble shooting.
- Liaison with Utility Authorities on a technical basis
- Assist in preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
- Daily field supervision on actual execution of works according to drawings and specifications.
- Carry out scheduled inspections to ensure that works are constructed in accordance with the contract documentation and method statements
- Supervision on review, preparing and approval of As-Built-Drawing.
- Liaison with the contractor on all construction related matters
- Maintain photo and written diaries to record daily works
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of experience
- Experience in the construction of Water and Wastewater treatment facilities and general infrastructure systems.
- Experience in managing construction contracts
- KSA experience is preferred
- English
- Excellent communication and report writing skills, and good presentation skills in English.
- Written and spoken Arabic skills are beneficial but not essential.
- Be enthusiastic about improving the safety performance of site operations.
- Be able to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives.
