Electrician

Job description / Role

Role Summary:
The electrician needs to be able to perform all the required activities related to electrical parts preparation, wiring and cabling, insulation and continuity tests, and to support the packaging operations for centrifugal compressor and gas turbine products

Essential Responsibilities:
- Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications, including cable way and conduit layout, wiring hook up, one-line diagrams, field instruments list;
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and test equipment;
- Plan, layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications;
- Assembly cable gland on junction box;
- Wiring of instrumentation, junction boxes, electrical assemblies;
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system;
- Correctly instruct and transfer skill to other workers assigned to him to ensure safety and quality of work;
- Comply with all applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental directives and regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma;
- Read and understand electrical drawings and specifications, including cable way and conduit layout, wiring hook up, one-line diagrams, field instruments list;
- Ability to read and understand wiring schematics & layout drawings;
- Experience in similar work, including wire/cable termination & electrical assembly;
- Previous working experience as electrician for at least 5 years;
- Availability to work on 3 shifts;
- Ability to work within a team.
