Engineering Manager / Supervisor

This role is open to candidates with experience having worked in a European food factory.

This contract role is set for around a one to two year contract offering a tax free salary of £35K + housing, Flights and medical, however, there is a chance of extension or securing a new role in the GCC area.

My client has recently developed a state-of-the-art production facility and are now looking at putting in processes to maintain the facility as well as having a huge input into the potential of a new build.

My client has recently developed a state-of-the-art production facility and are now looking at putting in processes to maintain the facility as well as having a huge input into the potential of a new build.

Reporting to the Factory Manager, the successful candidate as Factory Engineering Manager will provide engineering professional and technical leadership in the Factory, ensuring people health and safety, product safety and the environment are never compromised, and that all engineering activities enhance business objectives, product quality and plant operation/performance.

Other tasks include
• The Management of a team of skilled and part multi skilled engineers.
• Liaise with engineering store man to ensure sufficient stock levels of spare parts and stock control.
• Ensure that the co-ordination and carrying out of planned maintenance for equipment, machinery, services, tools and building is being carried out.
• Liaising with respective Primary production Managers with regards all respective engineering/maintenance issues.
• Ensuring that all relevant company and legislative documentation is completed correctly and accurately.
• Repairs to equipment, moving of machinery and machinery setups are undertaken in a timely manner.

My client is looking for an individual who has a tertiary qualification eg degree/diploma in an Engineering discipline, proven people management capability, and strong experience of maintenance management and systems in a manufacturing environment. A background in the food industry and in a TPM environment would be beneficial.

You will have experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment and experience in a cooked/chill environment is a must (Ready meals preferred)
