Job description / Role
- Teach a maximum of 25 hours per week of General English Language courses and English for Specific Purposes courses
- Student mentoring and playing an active role in their language development inside and out of the classroom
- Administrative duties plus class preparation, record keeping and report writing
- Participation in faculty meetings, committees, professional development training, orientations, workshops, testing and placement
Requirements
- Female and male native speakers of English from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa
- Bachelor’s degree
- MA/PhD and other advanced graduate degrees highly desirable and given priority
- 120 hour in-class ESL certification consisting of a CELTA, DELTA, TESOL/TEFL, Trinity, diploma or post graduate diploma in English teaching and teaching certificate in ESL (no online certifications)
- 2 years ESL teaching experience
- Sensitive to cultural differences, and able to adapt to a way of life requiring understanding, conformity and flexibility
- Strong computer skills with experience in using technology in classroom
