Farm Manager - KSA

Reports To: General Manager and Farm Manager Regional

Subordinates:
- Farm Supervisor
- Labors

The Main Purpose of the role: Manage Del Monte Farm as part of our vertical integration strategy. Develop and suggest new agricultural projects to help reducing cost of raw materials.

The main areas of responsibility:
- The preparation and implementation of the short and medium term plans.
- Manage land preparation
- Oversee irrigation system installation
- Oversee all farming operations (irrigation, fertigation, spraying, harvesting and etc.)
- Assure the implementation of a food safety program in order to get the Global GAP certification
- Maintaining accurate technical and financial records, and handling other administrative paper work (labors attendance sheets, labor cost allocation to the batches, stock records…)

Department interaction:
- Interact with Quality, Logistic, finance and Sales Departments

Flexibility in having to carry out a range of different tasks:
- Have to create proper agriculture procedures

Work allocation, review and approval:
- Reports to GM and Regional Farm Manager on the

Requirements

- Bachelor degree in agriculture
- 3 to 5 years of experience in vegetables farming (trainings can be included)
- Experience in lettuce or leafy vegetables farming will be an advantage
- Experience in Global GAP and food safety programs implementation is appreciated
- Computer literate, MS, WORD,POWERPOINT,EXCEL
- Management/Leadership/Supervisory skills: Strong personality with ability to handle workers. Ability to set objectives and targets and follow them
- The ability to work and live on an isolated site
