Fire and Safety Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for a skilled Fire and Safety Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the workplace by implementing and maintaining fire safety measures and protocols. The Fire and Safety Engineer will also be involved in conducting safety inspections, training employees on fire safety procedures, and developing emergency response plans.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify and address fire hazards
- Develop and implement fire prevention and safety measures, including fire alarm systems, sprinklers, and emergency exits
- Train employees on fire safety protocols and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for emergency situations
- Collaborate with local authorities to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and standards
- Investigate and report on accidents or incidents related to fire and safety, and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures
- Stay updated on the latest fire and safety technologies, regulations, and best practices

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Fire and Safety Engineering, or a related field
- Certification in fire safety and prevention is highly preferred
- Proven experience in fire and safety engineering, with a focus on industrial or commercial settings
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, codes, and standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and collaborating with employees and external stakeholders
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
