Role Summary:

Baker Hughes, a GE company offers FLD Field Supervisor to join the team in Dhahran, KSA.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Under broad direction supervises onsite services delivered by drilling fluid specialists and engineers on a variety of drilling rigs by measuring, testing, and supervising the running of fluid mixing and pumping, including technical analysis and specific product and practical recommendations for controlling fluid properties.
- Monitors fluid properties on rig sites and ensures quality of service delivery.
- Is expected to proactively anticipate drilling challenges and work with onsite specialist to problem solve as dynamic situations unfold
- Must provide effective customer service by providing rig-site customers and coordinators information regarding the progress of a rig site and create/implement solutions to rig site challenges.
- May make sales calls on the field and field office level or accompany Sales Representative performing the same function.
- Provide regular updates to assist drilling fluid coordinators in providing our customers the most effective, environmentally safe drilling fluids available while optimizing the well-bore construction process and maximizing our customers' production.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Conducts all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Graduate in Science or Engineering with Chemistry or Petroleum as major subject preferred
- 10 years of drilling fluid offshore experience including 5 as a senior engineer/specialist.
- Knowledge of drilling fluids testing in accordance to API 13 B-1.
- Computer literacy to get familiar with proprietary reporting & engineering software's easily.
- Understand Hydraulic analysis to recommend practices and treatment to improve drilling efficiency.
- Ability to perform independently during critical operations like well-control, severe to total losses, stuck pipe etc.

- Advanced product line knowledge in addition to meeting competency requirements as outlined in ACHIEVE LEARNING.
- Ability to alternate methods of completing tasks if the set method is not viable.
- Communicates with various clients and have excellent customer service skills.
- Quickly adjusts to changing job assignments / requirements.
