Overview

We are seeking a lead engineer to join the Gas division of Facilities Planning (GFPD). Facilities planning is responsible for the development and coordination of the capital program throughout the Company. The gas division is responsible for planning for facilities under Southern and Northern area Gas Operations, Unconventional Resources, Global Manufacturing and other Admin Areas to support gas and NGL development programs and Master Plans developments, Pre-FEED, and conducting studies and economic evaluations. Also, it is responsible for developing long-term plans for Gas and NGL Business Master Plans and strategies.

The lead engineer primary role is to conduct feasibility studies on major additions/upgrade to gas processing and NGL facilities. Also, conducting studies on de-carbonization, considering CCS, energy efficiency, other technologies and opportunities that support de-carbonization and circular economy. In addition, preparing Pre-FEED for capital projects that cover gas processing, NGL and unconventional facilities and performing system and economic evaluations of existing and potential new gas processing and NGL facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies on major additions/upgrade to gas processing and NGL facilities.
- Conduct studies on de-carbonization, considering CCS, energy efficiency, other technologies and opportunities that support De-carbonization and circular economy.
- Develop and update the Marginal Abetment Cost Curves for Carbone reduction opportunities.
- Provide support to lead Pre-FEED to define capital projects covering gas processing, NGL and unconventional facilities.
- Perform evaluations required to establish and support long term business strategies related to gas and NGL facilities and de-carbonization.
- Prepare scoping papers to define capital projects covering gas processing, NGL and unconventional facilities.
- Lead Integrated Project Teams during initial front engineering loading (FEL) phases to determine project alternatives and define optimal scope by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team from across the company.
- Interface with operating organizations, engineering services, project management and corporate planning.
- Perform system and economic evaluations of existing and potential new gas processing and NGL facilities.
- Prepare and make presentations to Corporate Management on gas processing and NGL operations issues and investment opportunities.
- Mentor young planning engineers to be Facilities Planning Specialists.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- From 10 to 12 years experience in gas processing and NGL operations and capital program planning.
- Experience in performing economic evaluations, feasibility studies and preparing requests for budgetary approvals.
- Experience with professional consultants in planning and executing engineering studies.
- Experience in process/system simulation of gas processing and NGL operations.
- Able to communicate fluently in English both in writing and orally.
- You have experience in Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS)
- Ability to demonstrate cost management in the form of balancing cost of construction, equipment and operations to create a cost-effective facility design that meets performance requirements.
