General Manager

The Company

Robert Half is exclusivity partnered with a leading manufacturer and distributor in the Middle East looking for a hands-on General Manager.

The Role

* The General Manager is responsible for providing strategic input as well as day-to-day leadership and management of the company with the objective of maximizing customer satisfaction, growth, and profitability.
* Responsibility of all functions including but not limited to P&L, Budgeting, Business Strategy, Supply Management, Operations, SHEQ, Sales, Marketing and HR.
* Analyze financial data to ensure validity of balance sheet account information, P&L variance, volume trends and returns on investment.
* Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, and labor costs.
* Deliver against operational budgets, forecasts and profit targets / Manage against key objectives.
* Develop strategic plans and generally overseeing their implementation to ensure maximum capacity utilization towards achieving the group's strategy, growth and profit objectives.
* Develop the overall sales and marketing strategies to improve market share, identify new markets and business opportunities and meet annual sales and profitability targets.
* Build strong partnerships with customers to understand their needs and deliver a top-quality service.
* Focus team on monitoring changes in the market and customer base and implements effective marketplace responses and pooling of market intelligence in order to contribute to the medium- and long-term strategic direction of the company

Requirements

The Candidate

* Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related associates. MBA and PMP is a plus
* At least 7-10 years of experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a Sales Director, Head of Sales or Head of Business Development role
* Experience within industries across Manufacturing, gases is preferred.
* Strong communication skills
* Candidates must be problem solver with a hands on approach and strong leadership abilities.
