Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

General Manager - KSA Travel Group

Primary purpose of the job:
- Lead the company successfully using all available tools, market opportunities, and novel ideas
- Implement the Top Management directives, objectives, and visions
- Ascertain application of corporate identity, branding, and quality standards strictly in all forms throughout the company
- Liaise with Group headoffice units on major issues serving the overall company interest ie branding, legal affairs, contracts, etc.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with sub-ordinates and higher management to establish stronger ties, information transparency, and increase awareness of all developing matters at all levels
- Develop and present annual objectives, business plan & strategy, cost & revenue budget proposals, and policy alteration suggestions (as and when needed)
- Explore new business opportunities
- Use effective public relations and sales promotion methods to widen public awareness of the company's services and brand
- Work continuously on finding new working methods and/or tools leading to more efficiency and lower costs

Principal accountabilities:
- Achieve the set Sales, Revenue, Cost, and Profitability objectives
- Regular collection of all needful facts, figures, and market intelligence from all regions in an established systematic reporting mode.
- Report all relevant developments to Top Management including suggestions for alternative courses of action and corrective measures, in case of deviation from set goals.
- Effective application of control systems and measures in all units
- Transfer of professional knowledge for positive development of co-workers
- Lead by example and walk the talk (practical transformation of Company vision, objectives, directives, guidelines, etc.)

Requirements

- Leadership experience with a track record of managing and growing a diverse team
- An extensive experience of travel business in different functions eg sales, operations, finance, etc (Minimum of 8 years with 50% at least in management functions)
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated bottom line and top line growth
- Experience developing and executing growth and commercial strategies in the Middle East
- Fluent in English and Arabic
