General Manager of Human Resources - Saudi Arabia

Client is one of the leading developers and operators of power and water desalination plants across the GCC, Eastern Europe and North Africa, is looking for an experienced HR professional to join their team as General Manager of Human Resources for their Saudi Arabia business.

The key responsibilities of the role will include developing the Human Resource policies for the organisation and implementing procedures to improve productivity.

Additional responsibilities will include,
- Review and recommend changes to existing policies/procedures and practices to enhance their effectiveness
- Review, recommend and implement changes to remuneration, benefits and terms and conditions of employment
- Assist department managers with the development of the organisational structure of the business, defining the roles and functions of positions within their teams
- Support high standards of recruitment and selection
- Ensure there is an acceptable level of Nationalisation within the business and that the business is in line with regulations
- Develop and implement performance review practices, training and development systems
- Promote strong employee relations by managing activities and managing the disciplinary process quickly and effectively
- Ensure legal compliance with respect to their scope activities
- Carry out annual performance reviews of reporting employees

Requirements

- Hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferable
- Minimum of 13 years’ experience in senior Human Resources
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in country
- Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Awareness of quality and occupational health and safety
- Strong analytical skills and computer efficiency
- Knowledge of applicable legal requirements
- Experience in dealing with hazard risk assessment
- Excellent communication skills, English language skills must be very strong
- Very strong when working under pressure, handling significant problems and tasks which can arise unexpectedly
- Experience in writing reports and statistical data analysis
- Industry experience is preferred
