Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a joint venture organisation working on the construction of the Riyadh metro in Saudi Arabia. They are currently looking to recruit a general services manager who will be responsible for;

- Effective supervision of the General Services Department including budgeting, purchasing and financial transactions, staff organisations and development, performance evaluations, employee relations, prioritising and assigning work.
- Oversees the development, inspection and enforcement of the standards by which materials are procured, stored, accounted for, maintained and repaired.
- Creates and reviews bids and specifications;
- Reviews plans and specification for private consultants, contractors and vendors;
- Oversees and develops strategic goals pertaining to the planning, development, design and operational processes for logistics, housing and offices, fleet operations, and meter maintenance
- Establishes budgets and programs for the maintenance, replacement, and improvement of materials and equipment.

Requirements

Candidates should have a degree in Business, public administration, accounting, finance or a related field and will also preferably have a Masters Degree.

Candidates must have at least 10 years experience of working as a General services manager within a large organisation that is preferably in the construction industry.

Candidates should have expert knowledge in procurement, fleet management, inventory management and strategic planning.
