GM Strategic Planning and Business Development

Job description / Role

- Support VP Strategy & Investments in the formulation, development, implementation communication of the company strategy, business plan, strategic initiatives and Business objectives across the different sectors, geographies and supportive functions
- Support VP Strategy & Investments in charting the Company’s course in business development, business intelligence, new business venture, deals negotiation & structuring.
- Studies markets trends to develop company’s knowledge and understanding of competitive landscape in retailing and distribution. Also develops insights on regulatory mechanisms of these countries.
- Oversees all market and economic research, determines industry trends and sources critical information required for decision making
- Builds and manages a pipeline of new revenue generating partnership opportunities including the company subsidiaries
- Generates ideas & initiatives that capitalize on channel strengths to drive substantial benefit to the company. Integrates customer knowledge with channel strengths to develop new business opportunities.
- Study, support and develop business cases and detailed business plan to all type of business opportunities either for new local line of business or expansion into new geographical territory.
- Directs and manage day-to-day strategic planning & business development functions and exercises financial authority within established limits and expenditure budget controls
- Reporting to VP Strategy & Investments

Requirements

- 12 - 15 years of experience with at least 5 years of experience in Strategy and business development preferably in telecom retail organizations, locally or abroad;
- A background in strategic partnership management that includes high volume business development would be a strong plus for this position;
- Manage strategic relationship.
- Bs. In BA / Economics / Finance; MBA preferred
- Preferably Saudi national
