Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Government Relations Officer (GRO) shall be responsible, but not limited to, the following:
• Maintain and foster relationship with all internal and external stakeholders as required with professionalism, reliability and commitment.
• Works according to established GMS policies, procedures and Government Relations standards.
• Day – to – day administrative duties of the GMS existing business activities related client invoicing, crew issues and general local office support activities.
• Liaises with Government Department/local vendors etc. as required for obtaining security passes, internal and external related documents.
• Ensuring monthly invoices and accounts payable by the client are submitted in a timely manner for client approval.
• Controls and coordinates day to day office activities and follows up on FM /barge queries as requested.
• Arrange approval of the company’s Arabic documents.
• Ensures all applications for visas, licenses, formats for both the crew and the operating asset are followed through.
• Maintains close contact with all GMS stakeholders in KSA.

Requirements

• Must be well knowledgeable in the Marine/Offshore Sector.
• Knowledge of local gov’t, /KSA labour,/immigration requirements.
• Self-motivated and able to independently work under pressure.
• With good command of the written and spoken English and Arabic languages.
• Good knowledge of computers, command over packages like MS Word (English/Arabic), MS Excel (English/Arabic), MS PowerPoint, Internet, Arabic & English languages are essential.
• Character Certificate from the previous employer is preferred.
• Exposure to marine and offshore standards and operating requirements is desirable.
• Local KSA driver’s license.
• At least Graduate Degree or Certification in Administration or equivalent combination of experience and qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in Personnel, Administration and Public Relations environment.
