Group Head of Internal Audit

Job description / Role

Leap29 are currently working with a large holding company in KSA who are seeking a Group Head of Internal Audit.

You will be responsible primarily for providing independent assurance to the Board that governance, risk management and control processes are adequate, effective and sustainable and secondarily, to support their continuous improvement through the sharing of best practice.

You will be required to do the following:
- Develop the overall business strategy, budgets and financial forecasts for the division and its constituent cost centers, and manage the division's performance according to approved plans and budgets
- Ensure that the right staffing, work processes, tools, and other resources are in place deliver on the short and long term goals set for the Division
- Ensure that appropriate numbers of staff with appropriate skills and qualifications
- Deliver a Board approved annual audit plan that is underpinned by an effective risk assessment
- Deliver high impact reports to both the Board and Executive that address control issues identified through the internal audit process
- Ensure audit process and supporting files meet professional standards and stack up to 3rd party scrutiny

Requirements

- University degree in Accounting or similar.
- 15 years’ experience, at least 5 years in a similar position.
- Big 4 experience.
- CPA, CIA or similar.
- Arabic and English language skills.
- Experience with a family owned holding company is preferred.
