Head of Internal Audit

Job description / Role

As an experienced Head of Internal Audit this role will lead the formulation and delivery of risk-based audit plans and you will be expected to influence business strategy and policy, working practices and standards by providing insight, control and thought leadership. Your role will be to maintain a high performing audit practice, developing colleagues through challenging performance feedback and coaching.

You will review, evaluate and influence strategic priorities, develop and implement the half-yearly rolling audit plan; commissioning and directing assurance activity to identify potential risks.The position would report to the CEO directly.

Requirements

The incumbent would be a CIA having experience of at least 10 years working in a large organisation probably at number 2 or 3 position. Other professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CPA would be a plus.

Experience of risk based audit planning, execution of financial and operational audits and reporting therein, investigations, risk assessment process, developing a team. Travelling would be involved due to geographical spread of the business across GCC.
