Head of Merchandising - Leading Retailer

Job description / Role

Michael Page Retail are looking for a Head of Merchandising to join the largest pharmacy retailer in Saudi Arabia. The right candidate will lead the Non-Pharma Categories development as per Consumer needs, by building strategic partnerships with Vendors, and being all the times aware of market trends and dynamics.

Their key objective is to deliver the best Market Share, Margin and Volume, in line with company’s targets.

Requirements

- A minimum level of education of a Bachelors Degree
- Proven experience as a Head of Merchandising / Merchandise Director or similar position within a Supermarket or Pharmacy based Retail company
- P&L responsible
- 15 – 20 years experience in retail merchandising
- Have previously covered related categories such as personal care, baby, cosmetics, own brand health & beauty etc.
- Current or previous experience in international markets is desired
- Open to both Arabic and none Arabic speakers
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrating honesty & integrity.
