As the Head of Testing, you will lead the testing efforts within our organization, focusing primarily on web-based applications. You will be responsible for establishing and growing the testing team, implementing best practices, and driving the transition towards automation.

My client, a public sector organization is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Testing to join their team.

Description

* Build and lead a high-performing testing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and execute a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
* Define testing processes, methodologies, and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
* Drive the adoption of test automation tools and frameworks to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
* Identify opportunities for automation and develop automated test suites for web-based applications.
* Establish quality assurance practices to validate the functionality, performance, and security of web applications.
* Conduct thorough testing of software releases, including functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
* Collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritize testing activities.
* Communicate testing status, issues, and risks effectively to project teams and leadership, providing visibility into the quality of deliverables.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Proven experience (7 years) in software testing, with a focus on web-based applications.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve objectives.
* Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
* Experience implementing test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, WebDriver, Java, Python).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
